Hello Parents! My name is Meshack Otieno, a qualified teacher specializing in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Integrated Science. I have a Bachelor of Education in Special Needs Education and experience teaching learners with different abilities and learning needs. I believe that every learner can succeed when they are given the right guidance, patience, encouragement, and learning environment. My Teaching Philosophy My teaching philosophy is simple: learning should be understood, not memorized. I make lessons interactive, practical, and learner-centred by connecting concepts to real-life situations. I encourage learners to ask questions, make mistakes, think critically, and develop confidence in their abilities. For online lessons, I have invested in the right teaching equipment and digital tools to make learning as clear and engaging as possible. This allows me to explain concepts step-by-step, demonstrate solutions, share learning resources, and interact with learners effectively during lessons. What Makes Me a Great Tutor? I am patient, approachable, and committed to every learner's progress. I take time to identify areas where a learner is struggling and then adapt my teaching approach to suit their individual needs. My goal is not simply to help learners score better marks, but to help them develop confidence, problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a genuine understanding of what they are learning. As a tutor, I want every learner to finish a lesson thinking: “Now I understand it, and I can do it!” I look forward to partnering with parents to support learners in achieving their academic goals.
